# Focus PROS
UP - Circus & Performing Arts [Anciennement Espace Catastrophe], Wallonie-Bruxelles Théâtre Danse | WBTD & Wallonie-Bruxelles International | WBI s’associent à nouveau pour organiser 3 matinées de Présentation de Projets de Création belges & internationaux qui se dérouleront durant le Focus Pros de l’édition 2024 du UP FESTIVAL, le Festival de Cirque(s) @ Bruxelles.
- Dates des Présentations de Projets : 26, 27 & 28.03.2024
- Horaires des Présentations : de 10 à 12h [accueil Pros à 09h30]
- Lieu : UP – Circus & Performing Arts [Bruxelles]
- Nombre de projets retenus : 8 à 10 projets par matinée [x 3 matinées]
- Chaque projet aura 8 minutes pour se présenter [incluant l’intervention d’un parrain ou d’une marraine]
- Langue de présentation : français et/ou anglais
- Moment d’échanges entre porteur.euses de projets & opérateur.ices à l’issue des présentations

- Cet appel à Candidatures est ouvert aux Compagnies belges & internationales
- La création du Spectacle devra être prévue pour les années 2025/26/27
- Une structure tierce [programmateur.trice, lieu de création, festival, etc.] s’engage à parrainer votre projet & sera présente à vos côtés lors de la Présentation du Projet [Note : une personne / structure ne peut parrainer / marrainer qu’un seul projet sur les 3 jours]
- Date limite pour déposer votre candidature : 14.01.2024
- Les réponses seront communiquées aux Projets sélectionnés le 02.02.2024
- Une prise en charge forfaire de 100,00 € sera attribuée à chaque Projet sélectionné pour aider à couvrir une partie des frais de participation / Présentation
Les critères suivants pourront être pris en considération dans la sélection des Projets :
- Enjeu & originalité́ de la proposition artistique [développement d’un langage circassien singulier, caractère novateur & original du projet, pertinence de la dramaturgie & du déploiement scénographique, qualité́ & exigence de la réalisation, etc.]
- Adéquation de la proposition artistique aux réalités de la diffusion internationale
- Qualité́ & clarté du dossier remis
Les candidatures sont à introduire via un formulaire JOTFORM.

- Informations sur la Compagnie & son historique
- Dossier de création du Projet
- Equipes artistiques & techniques pressenties
- Calendrier de création prévisionnel
- Budget prévisionnel
- Informations sur vos attentes, vos besoins pour ce Projet qui seront adressées aux professionnel.les présent.es lors du Focus Pros.

UP FESTIVAL | 18e edition [21.03 - 01.04.2024]
# Focus Pros
UP - Circus & Performing Arts [formerly Espace Catastrophe], Wallonie-Bruxelles Théâtre Danse | WBTD & Wallonie-Bruxelles International | WBI are once again joining forces to organize a series of 3 matinees Presenting Belgian & international Creative Projects, to be held during the Focus Pros of the 2024 edition of UP FESTIVAL, Brussels’ Circus Festival.
- Dates: 26, 27 & 28.03.2024
- Time: 10 am-noon
- Place: UP - Circus & Performing Arts [Brussels]
- Number of Projects selected: 8 to 10 Projects per matinee [x3 matinees]
- Each project will have 8 minutes to present themselves [including the intervention of a mentor]
- Language of the Presentation: French or English
- Discussions between Project leaders & operators after the Presentations

- This Application form is open to Belgian and foreign Circus Companies
- The Show’s Creation has to be scheduled for 2025/26/27
- A mentor [third-party organisation such as a programmer, a creative space, a festival, etc. supporting your project] agrees to support your Project & will be present at your Presentation
> Please note that a person or organisation can only sponsor one project over the 3 days.
- Deadline for submitting Applications: January 14, 2024
- Results will be communicated to the Applicants on Febuary 02, 2024
- A lump sum of €100 will be allocated to each Project to help cover part of the Participation/Presentation fees [including the presence of the mentor]
The following criteria will be considered for the Project selection:
- Strength & originality of the Artistic proposal [development of a singular circus language, innovative & original character of the project, relevance of the dramaturgy & scenographic deployment, quality & demands of the production, etc.]
- Adequacy of the Artistic proposal to the realities of international distribution
- Quality & clarity of the submitted files
Applications are to be submitted via a JOTFORM.
To be submitted at the time of application [possibility of providing temporary or in-progress documents]:
- Information about the Company & its history;
- A project creation file;
- The projected artistic & technical team;
- Estimated creation schedule;
- Estimated budget;
- Information on your expectations and needs for this project to address to the professionnals you will meet during the Focus Pros.
